Aircraft Spotting at Renfrewshire's Airfields and Airports
GLASGOW - TWR 118.8, APP 119.1
Off J28 M8. Crash gate on Abbotsinch Road near threshold of 23 (do not park in front of gate) for great views of landings. Emergency gate close to end of 05 also excellent for landing shots - far west of airport beyond British Regional hangar on St.Andrews Crescent. North perimeter fence between flying club and East Yonderton Farm for views of both runways and terminal area. The car park at the very end of the runway on Greenock road. If using 05, at the building site yard area there are a few points along there, behind the Loganair hangar. Also restricted views are available from within the terminal east side adjacent to Channel Islands pier. Flying club is on A726 at north side. Good views can be had inside the terminal outside Greggs bakery. All movements should be seen from here, except the light aircraft on the other side of the airport.
Hotels
The Holiday Inn is the closest hotel here with a view. The airport terminal is right in front, but with a high enough room facing the airport, views should still be good.
