Aircraft Spotting at Highland's Airfields and Airports
DALCROSS HELIPORT
Just west of Inverness airport in the industrial estate. From A96 heading southwest towards Inverness, after passing the airport take first right. Go over railway line, past end of runway and industrial estate is on right. Website http://www.pdg-helicopters.co.uk/intro.htm
FESHIEBRIDGE
Head east along B970 and after crossing Feshiebridge, go round the bend on the steep hill and then turn right (just past the phonebox) towards Achlean. Airfield is about 1km on the right. Friendly, ask for access. Website http://www.gliding.org/.

INVERNESS/DALCROSS - TWR 122.6
On A96, northeast of town. Write to, or email, the Airport
Manager, HIAL in advance for access, this is well worth doing. If you are unable, then exit the terminal
and turn left. Follow the road to the
end of the terminal and turn left at the roundabout onto a dead end track. At the end of here is a gate, it’s a public
right of way and the runway threshold is only a short distance away. Go through the gate and the South apron is
to your left. If you go down the road
as far as you can there is a cycle/footpath that goes to the right and all
around the approach lights. Follow it
around and you will arrive adjacent to the 05 threshold, which is the best
place of all. It takes no more than 15
